Beginner (Weeks 1–4)

- Light gear, comfortable RPM (60–70)
- Routes: Pacific Coast Highway (flat), gentle terrain
Intermediate (Weeks 5–12)
- 4× per week, 30–45 minutes
- Medium gear, moderate RPM (70–85)

Advanced (Weeks 13+)
